It’s strange that it took me this long to comment on this, since I get questions about this all the time. It seems obvious at first. If you’re right-handed you should play the guitar right-handed, right? Well, when you first start playing every little thing can seem so difficult that you begin to question your [...]

Guitars are all the same these days. It’s true. Sure, there are differences among the different body styles, but when it comes down the actual components that are critical to sound and playability, they all seem to be the same. What am I talking about? I’m talking about things like the electronics, the frets, the [...]

I usually try to avoid working blue. I don’t want to offend anyones sensibilities….unless I just don’t like them. But, this piece from Uncyclopedia.org is just too funny to miss. Below is the post from Uncylopedia. Do not read further if you are uptight.

In 2006 the Washington Redskins ended the season with a 5-11 record. An uncharacteristically slow offseason netted them very few additions to that same 5-11 squad. They lost a talented Left Guard in Derrick Dockery in free agency as well as a few other veteran players. The starting Quarterback in 2007 was to be Jason Campbell [...]

The amazing thing about the few very talented professional musicians that I have met is that they all seem to be genuinely humble people. The same is true for Anthony Wellington. Back in 1998 I’d been playing guitar for a couple of years, but wanted to learn more about the bass guitar. I’d noticed that this [...]

I like cheap gear. I admit it. The guitar that I play around the house is a Squier Affinity Telecaster, that was a floor model at a Guitar Center in town. I bought it after playing every other single coil telecaster in the store (a telecaster with humbuckers isn’t a telecaster, but thats a different [...]

Our friend, Incognito asked me in an earlier comment why I preferred WordPress to Blogger. She wanted specifics. I’m going to try to elaborate on my reasons for choosing WordPress over Blogger. I hope that this will give some tangible reasons as to why I prefer WordPress.

I’ll admit it. I’m a “hit whore.” I like getting traffic. I don’t write specifically for the purposes of getting traffic, but I definitely want to know that my efforts are being read (and hopefully enjoyed) by someone. I also like the feeling of seeing a project grow from its infancy into something to be [...]

This Saturday night and Sunday morning in Colorado a gunman opened fire in two Christian Centers. It appears, though it is not confirmed, that both incidents involved the same shooter. Four people died in the attacks including the gunman.
You can find out more about this incident from numerous news sources. I don’t want to recall [...]
