Long Time No Post and Health Update

Well, it’s been quite a while.  But, I’m still around.  I still have very little time on my hands and I don’t expect to post as continuously as I once did.  But, I’ve had the itch to blog recently as I’ve once again found myself full of opinions.

One year ago I posted my most recent diet update. At that point I had lost about 20 lbs.  One year later I am even less of a man; over 50 pounds less to be exact!  I’m down well below 200lbs for the first time in four or five years.  I’ve still got a ways to go to hit my goal but I’m excited to have accomplished this feat.

I hit a pretty serious plateau at around the 30 to 35 pound area.  I just couldn’t seem to get past that hurdle.  So, I finally had to break down and start to consistently exercise.  In the process of starting to exercise I found my newest hobby; fitness.  When I find hobbies its not quite the same as with other people.  But, I’ll get to that at another time.

I’ve been spending huge chunks of time reading about fitness, diet and exercise. I’ve also been listening to The Fitcast podcast.  It’s amazing how much there is to learn about fitness.  It’s amazing how many myths, and how much misinformation is being propagated.

That’s all for now.  I’m going to work on composing a few more posts so that I might actually have something worth reading in 2009.
